NAPW “Winter Slam”
Saturday, December 17th
Elburn Countryside & Community Center
525 N. Main Street. Elburn, IL

NAPW(North American Pro Wrestling) decked the halls of the Elburn Community Center in Elburn, IL last Saturday evening (12/17). The fans were able to be jolly as a steel cage match main evented the holiday extravaganza. Former TNA Legend Sharkboy greeted fans before the opening bell for autographs and posed photos. The local pizza joint sold its tasty pizza by the slice. Someone in the NAPW office needs to provide the name of the establishment. This was the third show in Elburn and the crowd keeps getting larger a trickle at a time. A pat on the back to all the wrestlers and management involved. Where 2011 finishes, hopefully 2012 will be brighter.

Ring announcer Frankie Valdez opened the evening with introductions of NAPW senior official Johnny Swift and Erin Getch. Minor disappointed moans for Orlando’s own Seymour Butts not making it to referee. Hope Mr. Butts will be behind the striped shirt in January.

1. Alex Bernadino & Anthony Antonelli vs Youth Gone Wild (Matt Craven & Tom Heisman)

The flashy young NAPW rookies of Bernadino and Antonelli vs the amazing former PCW tag champions Youth Gone Wild. Chaos from the beginning with arm locks, wrist locks and multiple quick tags by both teams. Antonelli found himself on the receiving end of punishment. The experienced YGW took control and dominated. The younger fans whooped it up at ringside as both fan favorite teams received praises. A double clothesline between Antonelli and YGW’s Craven allowed the Italian star in Antonelli to finally make that important tag. Bernadino soared into the ring to take on both members of YGW. All four men ended up battling until a lucky pin was scored by Craven.

Winners: Youth Gone Wild

2. “Irish” Andy Anderson vs “The Difference” Joey Rose

The Irishman held up the bout by refusing to surrender his steel chain to the official. The cocky veteran then slaps the taste out of the younger Rose’s mouth. Joey took the initiative and opened the contest with two pounding bodyslams, heavy chops in the corner and a wild clothesline. Anderson rolled to the floor to regain his second wind. Rose leaped on Ireland’s loyal son and a mealy began on the floor. Chants of “Joey!”, “Joey!” echoed throughout the venue.

As the action found its way back into the ring, the sneaky Irishman used the classic rope burn to rake Joey’s eyes. “Texas” Pete waltzed down to ringside to show support and encourage his new partner Anderson. The veteran clearly held the upper hand at this portion of the bout. Joey’s last minute effort to bring up his knees saved him from jaws of defeat as Anderson made a leap attempt onto his fallen adversary. Joey was back in business clobbering the Irishman until Pete distracted the ref at ringside. Anderson grabbed his steel chain and waffled the top of Joey’s skull. Easy three count for Guinness drinker from Ireland.

Winner: “Irish” Andy Anderson

*Nice ovation after the match for Joey who gave one of his best outings. Rose was in the match the whole time and displayed a lot of initiative. In the past he was mostly defense. Good to see more offense. Keep up the good work.

3. Aaron Xavier, Jack Carpenter & Camron Jacobs vs Tederick Tower, Barry Ryte & “Speedy” Chris Kender

A Texas tornado from the opening bell as all six men scrambled in-n-out of the ringside area. Tower caught Carpenter with a rough boot dead center in the ring. The Jacobs team turned things around as Tower was trapped to take punishment. Hard stomps by Jacobs and triple-teaming kept Tower down. A huge tag was finally scored and Barry Ryte electrified the rec center. The fans counted to ten as each member of Ryte’s team cornered an opponent to land punches. Half the action spilled onto the floor. The cocky Jacobs attempted a double DDT on Ryte and Tower to only end up backfiring. Ryte leaped off Tower’s broad shoulders to splash and pin Jacobs.

Winners: Tederick Tower, Barry Ryte & “Speedy” Chris Kender

The NAPW stars signed autographs at ringside as the younger fans flooded the ring. My niece and nephew along with almost 30 kids had a blast meeting the talent and bouncing in the ring. Hats off for NAPW to provide these kids with a huge memorable moment.

4. “The Love Machine” Matt Longtime vs “The All-American”/”The Massive Mountain” Michael Mack.

The popular Mack was not at 100% with an injured knee. Longtime used stall tactics to frustrate the beefy “All-American.” Once they locked up, “The Massive Mountain” displayed his true strength by shoving back Longtime. Mack jammed his knee early on attempting to bounce off the ropes. “The Love Machine” worked on the injured knee. An attempted suplex almost cost Mack the match as his knee gave out. A superkick by Longtime finally put down the “All-American.”

Winner: “The Love Machine” Matt Longtime.

*Michael Mack told me after the show that he may require knee surgery and could miss up to three months in action. Whatever happens, the NAPW fans wish Mack a healthy and speedy recovery.

5. Derek St. Holmes, Esq. vs Pauly Thomaselli

Two tough veterans gave the fans a great contest. A lot of technical moves and mat action early on in the bout. The streaking hot Thomaselli, who has been on a role as of late, controlled Derek with a tight arm lock. Holmes fought back with hard shots of his own to even up the match. Pauly would gain a tap out victory using a sweet version of the original Indian death lock.

Winner: Paul Thomaselli

6. To Crown the NAPW World Champion: “The Strangler” Diego Corleone vs TNA Legend Sharkboy

Sharkboy was escorted to ringside by his new manage the gorgeous Queen Baby. “The Strangler” lead off with an armlock only to be reversed by the superstar from the deep. Sharkboy dished out heavy chops to Corleone’s chest in the corner. A leap off the ropes by Diego misfired as he was caught into an atomic drop. The fans roared in approval as classic Sharkboy took a chunk of “the Strangler’s” rump. Diego bounced back by whipping the knee of Sharkboy into the corner post. Corleone continued to make threats to Queen Baby throughout the contest.

“The Strangler” rolled up Sharky for the fatal pinfall with both his feet on the rope. Queen Baby flipped Corleone’s feet off the ropes breaking up the cover. Sharkboy, out of anger, grabbed the noose belonging to Corleone only to be confronted by the official. Corleone grabbed the opening to place Sharkboy in a tombstone that would make the Undertaker smirk.

Winner: New NAPW World Champion “The Strangler” Diego Corleone.

*”The Strangler” held up his new championship and asked if anyone was ready to step up to the plate. Pauly Thomaselli burst through the curtains to signal that he wants to be next.

A Big THANKS to local fan Liz Such for providing NAPW with result photos!

7. Main Event/Steel Cage Match: Texas Pete vs “Reckless”Jay Kross

The former CLPW tag champions and best friends have been feuding for months. The match began on the outside with the larger and stronger Kross in hot pursuit of his ex-partner. They both wiped out while tripping on the floor mats. Kross scooped up Pete and tossed him inside the ring. Cage door slammed shut and bell sounded. Pete gets sling-shoted into the cage. Several failed attempts by Pete to escape the cage. Kross dominated early on until a low blow floored him. Pete makes it to the door but Kross grabs onto his ankle. Kross rallies back tackling Pete into the cage. Unfortunately one big tackle was by the door spilling Pete to the floor and the “‘W.”

Winner: Texas Pete

* “Irish” Andy Anderson returned to ringside to assist Pete in a Kross beat down. Joey Rose flew down to make the save for Kross. Senior Official Johnny Swift announced a match for NAPW’s next show in Elburn on January 28th, 2012. Rose and Kross vs Anderson & Pete in a steel cage with Anderson’s chain being used to keep the door locked.

NAPW “Preview To Gold 2011″
Saturday, November 19th
Elburn Countryside & Community Center
525 N. Main Street. Elburn, IL

The growing community of Elburn, IL once again played host to an evening of NAPW (North American Pro Wrestling) action. Wrestling fans gathered at the Elburn Countryside & Community Center last evening (Saturday, November 19th) to cheer on their favorite NAPW stars. It was nice to see a little bit larger of a crowd show up and nobody left disappointed. There was even tasty pizza from a local joint in Elburn.

Ring announcer “The Articulator” Steve Kenton opened the show with the introduction of the NAPW officials of Johnny Swift and Orlando’s own Seymour Butts. Poor Seymour continues to get mocked by the fans. He would blow a major call in the main event.

1. “The Difference” Joey Rose vs Cameron Jacobs

The match began with stall tactics on the part of Jacobs. The fans were clearly behind Rose. After the eventual lock-up, the strength of Jacobs was too much as he muscled Rose into the corner. Rose was able to sucker Jacobs into taking a spill on the arena floor. Jacobs would once again take control as he would catch his opponent with a great dropkick. Jacobs demonstrated his skills on the mat with some technical moves to ground his rival. Rose bounced back with two hard clotheslines only to get caught in a sweet version of the Arn Anderson spine buster. Not to be outdone, Joey showed of his submission skills by using the classic Boston Crab and earning a tap out.

Winner: “The Difference” Joey Rose

2. Jack Carpenter vs Bad Joey Brittain

This was a very good match between a rising NAPW star in Jack Carpenter and a rookie with great potential in Joey Brittain. The action was hot-n-heavy early on with both guys taking control. Carpenter scored a huge pop from the crowd with an impressive monkey flip. Many of the youngsters at ringside chanted for Carpenter to use his trademark hammer that he brings with him. Carpenter used the classic rope burn to gain control of his opponent. Joey would really get in deep water when he missed a splash in the corner and received a flying knee. Brittain’s downfall was a face first pop by Carpenter’s knee. Pinfall! Even though it was a losing effort, Joey Brittain showed much improvement since his match in September in Compton, IL.

Winner: Jack Carpenter.

3. Aaron Xavier and Mike Anthony vs Alex Bernadino and Anthony Antonelli

It was terrific to see the former WCPW Champion Mike Anthony in action. The classic crafty veterans vs the young rookies. Anthony started the bout with Bernadino and overpowered him off the bat. Xavier would enter and deliver a suplex of his own. Bernadino would suffer to stiff kicks and elbows from a returning Anthony. The veterans would make several quick tags while Berdadino would yet to tag a fresh Anthony. Bernadino would be tossed to the floor, suffer fierce chest chops & manage to get his foot to the rope to avoid tapping to Anthony’s arm-bar submission. Bernadino finally gets on the offense with a dropkick to Anthony. The all important tag to a fiery Antonelli was finally made. Both veterans would go down by clotheslines. A quick high cross body off the ropes by Antonelli on Xavier would give the rookies a huge upset win.

Winners: Anthony Antonelli and Alex Bernadino

4. Pauly Thomaselli vs Tony Rican

Easily one of the matches of the night. Pauly has been “the man” in NAPW. A classic handshake began the bout. Thomaselli takes the advantage early on overpowering the smaller Rican. The tricky Rican almost scored a pinfall with a cross body off the ropes. Rican would always keep fighting but not able to avoid the powerful blows by the larger Thomaselli. The late British Bulldog would have been proud with the standing suplex by Thomaselli. A power bomb onto Thomaselli’s knees would put Rican in the shower.

Winner: Pauly Thomaselli

5. Chuck Tower vs “Irish” Andy Anderson

This match was kind of quick. The former CLPW X-Division Champion Anderson was on his game. Chuck Tower was a polite young man that gave his best but was defeated by the brutal onslaught of the Irish bomber.

Winner: “Irish” Andy Anderson

6. Texas Pete vs Jayson Kross

The battle of the former partners. Texas Pete controlled the Mic to announce his new friend in “Irish” Andy Anderson. The Irish native came out with a steel chain wrapped in his right hand. Kross wasn’t coming alone and he called out “The Difference” Joey Rose. Referee Johnny Swift would take control and send both Rose and Anderson to the back.

The match begins with punches by Pete. The stronger Kross would toss his former partner in the corner. Kross takes a nasty tumble to the floor. Pete dominates Kross by twice tossing him into the barricades. Tempers were heating up and the crowd was into it. Pete made Marty Jannetty smile with a rocker fist off the ropes. The more powerful Kross bounced back with a superplex off the ropes and a fall-away slam. Anderson would return with his chain to punch Kross in the jaw. Swift called for the bell by DQing Texas Pete. Joey Rose made the save with a steel chair.

Winner By DQ: Jay Kross

7. “The All American”/”Massive Mountain” Michael Mack vs “The Strangler” Diego Corleone

“The Strangler” once again made a young fan at ringside burst into tears. The winner would go to the main event next month to meet former TNA Legend Sharkboy. Mack overpowers Corleone early on. A chase ends up on the floor with the sneaky veteran Corleone catching the younger opponent with a boot while both climbing back into the ring. This was a good main event with Mack scoring the cheers from the crowd. “The Strangler” is a master at drawing heat from any crowd. Mack uses some powerful hip tosses and a full-nelson slam to gain control. Diego bounces back with a sleeper. Mack slowly fades to the canvas and Corleone attempts a pinfall. Referee Seymour Butts blew the call by not seeing Mack’s foot on the rope. Many ringside fans where chastising the official.

Winner: “The Strangler” Diego Corleone

* Ring Announcer Steve Kenton would receive a text from a fan showcasing the foot on the rope by Mack. The referee saw the footage and still awarded the victory to Corleone. Mack would be allowed to join Sharkboy and Corleone next month in a triple threat.

NAPW
Saturday, October 15th
Elburn Countryside & Community Center
525 N. Main Street. Elburn, IL

NAPW (North American Pro Wrestling) provided the community center in Elburn, IL with an outstanding evening of wrestling (Saturday, October 15, 2011). NAPW is a growing company with quality entertainment for the entire family. Many new fans experienced the NAPW magic for the first time last evening and had a blast.

A grandmother, mother and her young son mentioned to me what a blast they had and would make the pilgrimage again to Elburn. Scott Rush from nearby DeKalb brought his elderly father and they loved the show. He told me you can’t beat the $10 for the entertainment that was displayed.

The show opened with the introductions of local referee Johnny Swift and Orlando’s own Seymour Butts. Seymour was the “butt” of many fans wisecracks. A great guy to meet.

1. “The Difference” Joey Rose vs Barry Ryte

Hard to report on a match when some goof (Ryte) throws your pen thinking that I’d want his worthless autograph. Barry did take the early lead on the popular Rose. Once again Joey, known as Mr. Come-from-Behind, was able to turn the tide into his favor. Joey chants echoed throughout the center. Ryte’s costly error happened when he attempted a high cross body off the ropes which quickly turned into a small package victory.

Winner: “The Difference” Joey Rose

2. Pauly Thomaselli vs Jack Carpenter

This was the match of the night, hands down! These two gave a clinic. The bout opened with a series of wrist locks, arm drags and classic mat wrestling. Carpenter impressed the fans with a terrific leapfrog only to be caught with a stiff Thomaselli boot to the midsection. Several hard chops were traded off. Pauly, getting tossed onto the arena floor, gave Carpenter the brief advantage. A couple of moonsaults by Thomaselli continued to “wow” the crowd. A thunderous back breaker finally gave Thomaselli the duke.

Winner: Pauly Thomaselli

3. Texas Pete & Jay Kross vs Michael Mack & Anthony Antonelli

The feuding partners of Pete and Kross once again were not on the same page. The “Massive Mountain” Michael Mack along with the swift and quick NAPW rookie Anthony Antonelli made an unique combination. Pete challenged Mack to a pose down which was the flea vs the gorilla.

Texas Pete was no match for the thick Mack early on in the match. The lightning speed of young Antonelli confused Pete even more. The tide switched when Kross entered the ring and overpowered the rookie. Anthony took a hard beatdown for a good portion of the bout. Pete nailed the newcomer with an impressive Rocker like fist off the ropes. The crowd erupted when the big tag was made and Michael Mack began to clear house. Texas Pete was tossed to the floor while Kross suffered a spectacular spear to end the match.

Winners: Michael Mack & Anthony Antonelli

*Kross and Pete traded blows after the match and set up a grudge match for November 19th back in Elburn.

4. Matt Creed (Youth Gone Wild) vs The Beast

The classic eerie music of the “Halloween” theme blasted throughout the community center. The machine of terror known as the Beast made his creepy entrance. WWE HOFer Abdullah the Butcher would be proud. The crowd roared as Matt Creed sailed into the ring. One-half of the highly popular tag team known as Youth Gone Wild.

The Beast heard the dinner bell ring and pounced on his prey. The rule book was practically thrown out as Creed was choked in the corner and had his eyes raked over the ropes. The high flyer was grounded early on as the Beast stood behind him clamping onto his neck with nasty pinch nerves. The Beast used a foreign object that was in his boot and would hide it under his titties to fool the referee. The support from the crowd energized Creed to stage a rally. A few low dropkicks to the knees slowed down the massive Beast. Creed nailed two flying clotheslines and finally floored his opponent with a dropkick off the ropes. The larger Beast would overpower Creed once again and nail his victim with an elbow for the pinfall.

Winner: The Beast

5. Jeff Troy vs Grin

It was my first time watching Grin in action. A very entertaining character. The crowd favored Grin even though he was playing heel. Grin dominated most of the match with Troy making small comeback spurts with an occasional dropkick. An impressive version of a dragon sleeper earned Grin a tap out.

Winner: Grin

*Michael Mack addressed the crowd to a challenge for the November 19th show with “The Strangler” Diego Corleone.

6. “The Love Machine” Matt Longtime vs Derek St. Holmes Esq.

This was the main event of the evening. The crowd was into the dancing of Longtime. The match had too much showboating early on but turned into a good match in the later stages. Longtime’s nose and mouth was busted up near the bout’s conclusion. Holmes was caught by a nice clothesline for the pinfall.

Winner: “The Love Machine” Matt Longtime

NAPW
Saturday, September 17th
HB Farms. 595 Hedge Rd. Compton, IL

NAPW (North American Pro Wrestling) ignited the quiet town of Compton, IL last night (September 17th). H.B. Farms was the setting for an entertaining evening of NAPW action. Fans were able to munch before the show to juicy burgers and wieners off the grill for only a buck each. Beer was flowing at the bar. It was a different atmosphere from the usual high school gym or rec center. NAPW is a growing company that provides fun, exciting shows for a low price. Tickets were $10 for adults and $6 for children.

1. Joey Brittain vs Pauly Thomaselli

NAPW rookie Joey Brittain made his debut last night in Compton facing respected veteran Pauly Thomaselli. Sporting a Misfits T-shirt, the rookie made a costly mistake early on by trading punches with his powerful opponent. Pauly gave Brittain opportunities to deliver blows but nothing fazed him. A thunderous blow by Thomaselli floored the youngster. The rookie took advantage and delivered a low blow while Thomaselli jaw-jacked with the referee. The veteran would bounce back to deliver a 450 splash off the ropes to seal the victory.

Winner: Pauly Thomaselli

2. Cameron Jacobs vs Barry Ryte

The popular Ryte stood in the ring passing the time as his opponent Jacobs used common stall tactics. Argued with fans at ringside or going for an evening stroll. Jacobs entered the ring to be greeted with a series of lightning quick arm drags. The match was impressive once it got going. Ryte made the cardinal mistake of getting caught trying to mound the ropes. Ryte would feel the impact of an F5 delivered by Jacobs.

Winner: Cameron Jacobs

3. Jay Kross vs Anthony Antonelli

Jay Kross was escorted to ringside by his partner Texas Pete. The duo have had issues as of late. Pete was at ringside acting as a manager. Jay Kross dominates early on using his brute strength. Antonelli gets nailed with a hard clothesline. Antonelli bounces back with a series of dropkicks. A discouraged Pete enters the ring to bark orders for Kross to climb the ropes. An Antonelli dropkick sends Pete into his partner causing Kross to lose hopes of having children for the next week. Antonelli scores the decision.

Winner: Anthony Antonelli

**** After the bout, Texas Pete would show his displeasure about Kross’s defeat. Pete says he could have won in 5 seconds. Kross tells Pete to challenge Antonelli.

4. Texas Pete vs Anthony Antonelli

Texas Pete dominates the majority of this match. Antonelli gets nailed with a series of moves including a flying dropkick and a fist off the ropes. The cocky Pete makes the error in judgment to argue with Jay Kross at ringside. Antonelli scores win #2 with a body press off the ropes.

Winner: Anthony Antonelli

***** Jay Kross leaves after power-bombing Texas Pete.

5. Maestro of Mayhem vs Gabe Gotti

This was a short match but very physical, quick paced action. An even contest throughout the bout. I enjoyed the match but having both grapplers being unknown to the Compton fans must have played a factor for the crowd to not show much emotion. Gotti was put away with a slam off the top rope.

Winner: Maestro of Mayhem.

*********************15-Minute Intermission*************

6. Joey Rose vs Jack Carpenter

Rose sprinted to the ring like a house on fire to begin their grudge match. Rose goes on the offense until he gets caught in the corner with flying knees to the chest. Carpenter controlled a solid portion of the match. Joey bounces back with a scissors kick that would make Booker T smile. An angry, frustrated Carpenter reached for his hammer and hard hat only to have the referee confiscate them. Joey saw the opening to roll-up Carpenter for the three count.

Winner: Joey Rose

******Carpenter nailed Rose with his hammer after the match. As Rose laid unconscious, Carpenter issued a challenge for a return bout on October 22nd. A First Blood Match.

7. The Beast vs Michael Mack

The theme to the classic horror film “Halloween” echoed HB Farms as the Beast made his entrance. He was the spitting image of Abdullah the Butcher. Even had a fork in his boot as a foreign object. There was a lot of pushing between the two big men. Fans were yelling at ringside for the referee to “check his titties” as the Beast hid the fork under his left breast. Michael Mack would slay the Beast with a monstrous spear.

Winner: Michael Mack

8. Main Event: “The Strangler” Diego Corleone vs “The Compton Kid” Alex Bernadino

Another classic tale of the seasoned, crafty veteran (Corleone) taking on the young, energetic youngster (Bernadino). The winner challenges ECW Legend Steve Corino on October 22nd. This match twice saw action spill on the floor and throughout the venue. “The Strangler” was punished when he got decked with a bag of chips and a cardboard box. “The Compton Kid” was caught back in the ring with a loud series of chops to the chest. The referee was taken out of the contest when he was sandwiched by the two opponents. A second referee came as the wrestlers fought over Corleone’s bull rope. The sneaky veteran saw his opening to deliver a kick to the groin to seal the “Compton Kid’s” fate.

Sunday, April 17th. 2011
America’s Historic Roundhouse.
Aurora, IL

1. Jay (Jayson) Kross vs Texas Pete

The opening contest saw former CLPW Tag Team Champions go into action. Texas Pete, who was unhappy with the crowd, was looking for a good dance partner so he asked his opponent. Kross said no to dancing but yes to a body slam. The former partners didn’t hold back as they gave an entertaining opening contest. Jay would put his opponent up for the airplane spin and finally a thunderous power-slam to end the bout.

Winner: Jay Kross

2. Tony Scarpone & Mike Horning vs Tony Rican & Bucky Collins

This was one of the better matches of the afternoon. Arm bars and wrist locks were used early on as fans were treated to good mat action. The crowd would get treated to high flying and double-team action by Collins & Rican. Bucky Collins is an exciting young man to watch in the ring. The tide would turn when Horning would catch Collins with a great Jumping Jim Brunzell type dropkick.

An impressive spot came late in the match when the powerful Tony Scarpone would haul Collins up in the suplex position. Scarpone would twice bounce Collins off each section of the four sections of the ropes before crashing down on the mat. That move earned Scarpone a $1 bill from ring announcer Eastman. Scarpone’s size was too much when he knocked Rican off the canvas and power bombed Collins. Horning made the cover.

Winners: Mike Horning & Tony Scarpone.

3. “The Strangler” Diego Corleone & “The Dodge Ball Superstar” Tyler Priegel vs Joey Rose & Chad Falcon.

This match wasn’t too bad. The crowd showed its heat towards the heel veteran team of Priegel & Corleone. I had never seen the young team of Rose & Falcon before but they showed a lot of energy and heart. The match was very physical early on with the veterans controlling a good portion of the action. Joey Rose would catch “The Dodge Ball Superstar” off-guard with a hard slap to the face followed by a version of the Alabama slam. Chad Falcon would soar off the ropes onto the fallen Priegel for the pinfall victory.

Winners: Joey Rose & Chad Falcon

4. Sebastion Reese vs Max Bauer

This was a battle of two big men. Reese would use the old Playboy Buddy Rose gimmick and announce himself as 218 pounds. The famous Cookie Lady would lead the crowd of “Chunky Monkey” against Reese. The crowd was very vocal during this match.

Reese would catch Bauer early on with a hard clothesline. Bauer would lose a lot of his wind due to a Reese bear hug but would hang in the match. Bauer finally got in some offense only to miss with his big boot and get caught in a body press. Reese took charge of most of the match until he made his fatal mistake of going to the top rope and jawing with the crowd. Bauer launched his opponent off the ropes, nailed his big boot and scored the big win.

Winner: Max Bauer

5. The Main Event: Brandon Blaze vs Former TNA Superstar Sharkboy

Sharkboy drew a huge pop from the crowd as he made his entrance to the ring. He still uses his colorful Stone Cold gimmick. It was a very entertaining match and the crowd really seem to have enjoyed it. Sharkboy would end the match with an impressive running bulldog and then the “Stunner”.

Winner: Sharkboy

Sunday May 15th. 2011
America’s Historic Roundhouse.
Aurora, IL

North American Pro Wrestling (NAPW) once again put on an afternoon of family entertainment wrestling at America’s Round House in Aurora, IL. Nobody left with a frown on their faces. Shark Boy once again was available before the 2pm bell time for pictures and autographs. Some fans were able to dine during the show with a good meal.

1. Texas Pete and Jay Kross vs Bucky Collins and Tony Rican

This opening tag team attraction was the first match in a series of upcoming matches to determine the first NAPW tag team champions. The former CLPW Tag Champions in Texas Pete and Jay Kross were not getting along at all as a unit. Pete wanted a dance/off that resulted in a beat down by his opponents. Rican/Collins true partnership as well as Bucky’s exciting high flying was enough to send them to the next round. Collins scored the pinfall with a flying knee to Pete’s face.

Winners: Bucky Collins and Tony Rican

2. Bruno the Beard vs. Marcus Krane

This was an interesting match with two different styles. The wired Krane, who acts like he guzzled a case of Mountain Dew, against a Grizzley Redwood wanna-be in Bruno. Bruno’s beard sported a stripe of orange running down his chin.

This bout opened with a lot of fist action and hard pounding. Krane was impressive early on with an excellent belly-to-belly suplex type flip. Bruno would hold his own as Krane was hitting the bigger moves including an excellent clothesline off the top rope. Bruno would kick out and even avoid Krane’s leap off the ropes. The surprise upset occurred with Bruno winning with his version of Mankind’s Mandible Claw.

Winner: Bruno the Beard

3. “The Strangler” Diego Corleone vs Joey Rose.

The classic case of experienced veteran vs rising young star. “The Strangler” back-jumped his much younger opponent with his bull-rope and began to torture his victim. Corleone dominated most of the match with kicking and illegal chokes while taking time out to verbally chastise the little kids at ringside. Joey fought back with a series of flying elbows and clotheslines along with a thunderous head-butt. Rose placed his adversary in a Texas Clover Leaf. Before “The Strangler” could tap out, Brandon Blaze and “The Dodgeball Superstar” Tyler Priegel would Pearl Harbor Rose from behind causing a disqualification.

Chad Falcon(Joey Rose’s tag partner) and former TNA Legend Sharkboy made the save. Sharkboy took the mic and offered a challenge for a six-man match as the main event for later in the evening.

Winner: Joey Rose by DQ

4. Jarrod Priest, Robert Michaels & Wille “Da Bomb” Richardson vs Youth Gone Wild (Matt Craven & Tom Hiseman) & Michael Matt.

This was a fast-paced match with a lot of action. The team of YGW and Matt used their speed and quickness against the mat pounding of Priest, Michaels and Richardson. The fans seem to enjoy this match a lot and popped for the ariel moves of YGW. Matt Craven would score the pin for his team over Robert Michaels.

Winners: Youth Gone Wild and Michael Matt

5. Gunner Franks vs The Dixieland Destroyer

Gunner Franks played David against the Goliath in the masked Dixieland Destroyer. David would not have a happy ending during this afternoon. Franks backed his larger opponent into the corner to deliver a series of fists. One blow by the Destroyer would floor Franks. The Destroyer would crush Gunner in the corner and use the famous rope burn to further injure Franks. Gunner made a small rally when the Destroyer missed a splash. The move of the night was when Franks caught the Destroyer attempting to climb the ropes and carried his much larger opponent over his shoulders in a Samoan Drop. Lady luck would not be with Gunner Franks as a fatal splash would finish him off.

Winner: The Dixieland Destroyer

The Main Event
6. “The Strangler” Diego Corleone, “The Dodgeball Superstar” Tyler Priegel and Brandon Blaze vs Joey Rose, Chad Falcon and Shark Boy

This was a terrific match with the crowd behind Shark Boy’s team. The former TNA Superstar started the match against his opponent from last month in Blaze. Shark Boy hits the Lou Thesz press and an impressive bulldog. Blaze gets tossed onto the floor as Shark Boy would beat him around America’s Round House.

Joey Rose and “The Strangler” would try to take care of some unfinished business from their singles match earlier in the night. Rose would take the upper hand and tag to his partner in Chad Falcon. A few double elbows would floor “The Strangler”. Falcon would run into some trouble where he’d take a lot of punishment but avoid defeat. Chad finally made the huge tag to Shark Boy who would clean house. A shot to the groin by a dodgeball took out Brandon Blaze. Priegel would suffer a stunner by Shark Boy ending the main event.

Winners: Shark Boy, Chad Falcon & Joey Rose
